Mia Pasini
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Mia Pasini is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a distinguished background in both clinical practice and research. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, her Master of Science in Nursing from Western University of Health Sciences, and her Post-Master’s Certificate in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing from Azusa Pacific University.
Mia is currently pursuing her PhD in nursing at Johns Hopkins University, where her research is focused on traumatic brain injury, particularly on identifying biomarkers that predict post-concussion symptoms and related mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, and PTSD in pediatric patients, military personnel, and athletes. She is also a teaching assistant and course coordinator for Johns Hopkins #1 ranked DNP-PMHNP program, where she enjoys mentoring PMHNP students.
Professionally, Mia has served as a PMHNP at Sheppard Pratt, one of the nation’s top psychiatric hospitals, and has provided care in outpatient telehealth settings, treating patients across a wide range of diagnoses. She completed her PMHNP training in Consult-Liaison Psychiatry at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she was the first student to be granted this opportunity. Before pursuing her doctoral studies, she worked as a psychiatry and neurology research nurse at Cedars-Sinai. Prior to becoming a PMHNP, she worked as a psychiatric nurse in various settings, such as inpatient adolescent and adult units, chemical dependency programs, intensive care units, and emergency departments in Los Angeles, CA.
Mia Pasini is a skilled PMHNP and a passionate advocate for advancing psychiatric and neurological research. Her dedication to providing hope and healing is fueled by her deep commitment to being a voice for her patients, ensuring their needs and experiences drive her work. Inspired by the challenges and resilience she witnesses in her patients, Mia’s goal as a PMHNP is to empower each individual on their journey to mental wellness, offering comprehensive care that is both evidence-based and deeply empathetic, so that every patient feels supported, understood, and hopeful for a brighter future.
