Streamline Your Patient Referrals to Pacific Psychiatry
Professional, evidence-based psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and adults. We partner with PCPs, therapists, and other referring clinicians to ensure seamless continuity of care for your patients. We simplify intake and coordination, reducing administrative burden for your team.
We know that finding reliable psychiatric care for your patients can be a bottleneck. Pacific Psychiatry’s referral program is designed to remove that friction.
- Immediate Availability: Appointments are typically available within a few business days once intake paperwork is completed, helping patients access care without prolonged wait times.
- Collaborative care: We believe in closing the loop. You will receive a consultation report or treatment summary once your patient is established.
- Broad access: We accept most major insurance plans, including CenCal, to ensure financial barriers don’t stand in the way of care.
- Comprehensive scope: From ADHD and Anxiety to complex Mood Disorders and PTSD, our team of MDs, DOs, PAs, and PMHNPs provides full-spectrum psychopharmacology and psychotherapy.
How to Refer: A Simple 3-Step Process
1. Submit Patient Details
Choose the method that fits your workflow:
- Online (Fastest): Submit a referral using our secure online form.
- Fax: Send your face sheet and recent clinical notes to (805) 541-6001.
- Phone: For complex cases requiring a peer-to-peer handoff, call our intake team at (805) 541-6000.
2. Scheduling & Evaluation
We contact the patient directly to schedule their two-part initial evaluation.
- Session 1: Comprehensive intake assessment (50 mins)
- Session 2: Diagnostic impressions and treatment planning
Note: You will receive a confirmation once the patient is scheduled.
In-Network Insurances
We verify benefits before the first appointment to prevent surprise costs.
Insurance & Authorization
For CCPN referrals, Pacific Psychiatry accepts senior plans only, and prior authorization is required. Non-senior CCPN patients are billed through their primary insurance plan (such as Blue Cross or Blue Shield). If a patient’s mental health benefits are administered by a third-party vendor, our intake team will verify network status upon receipt of insurance information.
Self-Pay Options
Cash-pay arrangements are available when insurance is not used. Our intake team will coordinate payment options directly with the patient, as appropriate.
Out-of-Network: If a patient has a plan we do not contract with, we can provide a superbill for potential reimbursement.
